OphthalmoClub
Surgical Simulation in Ophthalmology
Surgical Simulation in Ophthalmology
A simulation-based environment for practical surgical experience in controlled and realistic conditions.
Small-group format • Realistic simulation environment • Hands-on surgical practice
OphthalmoClub is a platform focused on simulation-based practice in ophthalmology, combining structured simulation activities, controlled environments, and hands-on experience to support the development of practical skills and procedural understanding.
Courses take place in a fully equipped ophthalmic wet-lab facility, using ex vivo ocular tissue and artificial eye models within a controlled simulation environment.
Activities are conducted in a small-group format, enabling focused interaction, direct guidance, and repeated practice. The approach follows a step-by-step progression, integrating dry-lab and wet-lab simulation to reflect different stages of surgical procedures.
Vitreoretinal Simulation Course
Hands-on surgical simulation course focused on core vitreoretinal surgical techniques.
Cataract Simulation Course
Simulation practice for essential cataract techniques
Cataract Complication Management Simulation Course
Simulation practice for intraoperative complication management
Why OphthalmoClub
OphthalmoClub is built around one aim: helping surgeons develop microsurgical skills through focused, hands-on practice in a dedicated simulation environment.
Each program centers on guided practice, individualized attention and steady, step-by-step progress.
Structured Practice from the First Step
Develop microsurgical skills through guided, stepwise practice on real ocular tissue and artificial eye models, moving progressively from observation to active participation.
Small Groups, Individual Attention
With only a few participants per session, every step is approached with individualized guidance, meaningful feedback and sufficient time for practice.
Time for Deliberate Practice
Work through each technique at your own pace, with opportunities for repetition, refinement and progressive development of surgical skills.
This focus on structured practice, individualized guidance and repeated hands-on experience shapes every OphthalmoClub program. In a dedicated wet-lab environment, participants build microsurgical skills through active engagement, repetition and continuous supervision.
